French illustrator Amélie Fontaine’s whimsical drawings add a touch of curiosity and delight to traditional Ko-sometsuke porcelain, whose simple and unpretentious traits characterise ceramics produced in Arita from its inception, in 1616, to the 1650s.
The artworks of this collection are transferred by hand onto the unglazed ceramic, creating slight variations in colour and thickness from one piece to another.
