This clay doll, moulded and painted by hand by the artisans of the Nogomi Ningyo workshop in Kashima, is crafted using local clay, porcelain and natural pigments.

Depicting Tenma, the celestial winged horse of Chinese and Japanese folklore, it was nicknamed Inari Koma by the artisans, in homage to the Yutoku Inari shrine for which it was created.
