Rice straw grown in the region of Miyazaki and delicately hand-woven by the artisans of Takubo. This workshop is located in Hinokage, a village close to Takachiho, a place famous for its natural sights and its myths and legends.
In Japan, the rooster is a divine messenger, often present during Shinto rituals. It is also a good luck charm that is offered to wish success in business. The rice straw changes and turns yellow with time, light and humidity.
