Hocho Yamazakura Vegetable Knife
A luxurious kitchen knife with a unique look
This hand-forged knife has a fine, broad, straight blade designed to cut vegetables with ease and precision. The blade is forged by hand and the black formed during tempering (cooling) is left untouched, giving it its unique rustic look. The handle is made from a segment of wild cherry branch.
Handcrafted from rare Japanese iron, the Yasugi steel used for this knife is made in Shimane prefecture. Only around fifty artisan blacksmiths are still able to forge these knives in the country.
