Blade Length:

A rustic-looking knife crafted with rare skills

This Deba knife has a thin, light blade designed for cutting fish and meat. Its tip is effective for boning and the centre of the edge for slicing. The blade is hand-forged and the black formed during tempering (cooling) is left as it is for a rustic look. The handle is made from a segment of wild cherry Yamazakura branch, making each piece unique.

Handcrafted from rare Japanese iron, the Yasugi steel used for this knife is made in Shimane prefecture. Only around fifty artisan blacksmiths are still able to forge these knives in the country.

– Carbon steel knife, wild cherry wood handle
– Hand-forged in Kurayoshi, Tottori
– Blade length: 14 cm, 16 cm
– Hand wash in hot water and dry immediately with a towel
– Use a sharpening stone to keep the blade sharp. Do not put in the dishwasher.
