Korokoro Shika Figurine
Inspired by traditional hariko figurines, these papier-mâché decorations were designed by Good Job! Center, a centre in Kashiba (Nara Prefecture) dedicated to creating new job opportunities for people with disabilities.
The shape of the figurine is based on designs created by the Good Job! team using 3D models, and almost every stage of production involves the specialised work of people with disabilities.
Created in collaboration with Nara-based retailer Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, whose symbol is the deer, each figurine has wheels and is available in bright colours or unpainted, allowing everyone to create their own unique décor.
