Namigata Soup Spoon
A contemporary design with timeless appeal
Warm and playful, this original pattern created by French artist Séverin Millet is a contemporary take on the traditional motifs of the Gosu collection produced by Kihara in Hasami (Nagasaki prefecture). Entirely hand-painted, the pattern is inspired by the figure of the Japanese flag swaying in the waves.
This soup spoon can be placed on a flat surface and perfectly matches our Namigata and Gosu ramen bowls.
The use of unrefined clay and natural Gosu pigments gives this soup spoon a distinctive rustic look. These artisanal production methods mean that each piece in the collection has slight variations in colour and shape.
