An ode to the ordinary joys of everyday Japan

Using his signature geometric style, British illustrator Jay Cover has created a playful pair of Yunomi cups inspired by iconic places in everyday Japanese life. This particular cup features a cast of characters gathered around a long table, drinking and munching on various dishes served at an izakaya, a type of Japanese bistro.

Our first design entirely produced in-house, Yunomi cups are versatile shapes that can be used as tea or coffee cups, pen holders or planters. Their generous capacity means that you can enjoy beverages in a unique, hand-crafted piece. Each cup is illustrated by an international artist and is available in matching pairs.

The cobalt-blue decoration is hand-transferred onto a ceramic base specially designed for this collection. Each piece has unique variations in colour and thickness.
